Each DayTrippper is hand-built from bare hull through the last coat of varnish. Meeting ABS standards and using systems that are easily maintained in America, the result is a luxurious, dependable and stylish weekender.
The DayTripper has 6’6″ of headroom througout the living areas. The interior, with its satin-finished joinery, teak & holly sole and comfortable layout, is very stylish. The overhead is white-finished planked Herreshoff-style composite. The master cabin and saloon have an 8,000 BTU air handler for heating and cooling.
The master cabin, forward, has a V-berth that becomes a spacious double with the use of an insert. Mattress is covered with Sunbrella fabric Twin cedar-lined hanging lockers and a Lewmar hatch in the overhead complete the cabin.
The dinette, to starboard, seats four people comfortably and folds down to sleep two with standard filler cushion. Cushions are covered in Sunbrella fabric.
The wet-head, to port, features a household sized Raritan Atlantes electric toilet, shower and sink with Corian countertop, towel racks and vanity mirror.

The pilothouse features a factory-installed custom hard enclosure with door and sliding windows. The helm has a great line of sight and features an 8-way power Italian leather OpacMar helm seat. An L-shaped settee with teak hi-lo table is to port. Cushions are covered in Sunbrella fabric and include a filler cushion to create extra sleeping accommodations. The pilothouse has an air conditioner with a 16,000 BTU air handler and a Sony AM/FM stereo with CD-player and four speakers. New canvas covers made for aft windows.

This fully loaded DayTripper 40 powered by twin Yanmar 370 HP diesels was delivered with Hamilton Jets, bow thruster, satin cherry interior with Sunbrella fabrics and complete electronics including radar, plotter, autopilot, GPS and much more!
The fiberglass epoxy, Kevlar, Carbon Divinylcell, oven-baked hull and deck was structurally designed by High Modulus. The hull and deck and overheads are fiberglassed together with three layers of E-glass on the inside and three layers on the outside.

The use of epoxy resin with a tensile strength up to ten times higher than polyester or vinylester allows the elimination of the “fat” of non-structural chopped-strand mat commonly used in polyester production boats. The wide teak-planked afterdeck acts as a spacious sunpad and provides access to the teak swim platform. A transom bench seat is forward of this area, offering wind and spray protection behind the cabin.
