1990 Irwin 38 Mk II

This is a comfortable two stateroom two head yacht with a shallow draft, ideal for the Inter-Coastal waterway or the Bahamas. Among the usual creature comforts this yacht has a 16,000 BTU reverse-cycle heat and air conditioning system. The aft stateroom has a queen size walk around bed. Her spacious galley, airy salon, and large navigation station has made the Irwin 38s especially popular with those cruising the Bahamas and the Caribbean. The spacious aft deck offers bench seats as well as room for deck chairs. This particular Irwin Mark II is in above average condition.
There are many upgrades to this vessel but the thing that is most impressive is the space and cleanliness of the interior living areas. This is a must see vessel.

This is a very roomy two stateroom, two-head yacht. Starting forward is a V-berth with filler and an overhead opening hatch with screen and privacy shade. There is a hanging locker and drawer storage area with the forward head to starboard. The head has minimal wood to make it easy to clean with a vanity, sink, shower and marine toilet with Y valve and holding tank. Next is the main salon with 6 tinted glass fixed ports and four opening hatches with screens and privacy shades. There are seven opening hatches and 13 opening ports so ventilation is never a problem but just in case it is, there is a 16,000 BTU heating and cooling system by Dometic Air. There are large settees to port and starboard and the galley area is to port. Starboard is the navigation station with swing out seat. Past the nav station is the passage to the aft stateroom. Engine access is via two doors in the passage as well as one door behind the companionway stairs and another door in the galley. The aft stateroom has a queen sized walk around centerline bed. There is a dressing table with teak trimmed mirror and seat. The head is to port and has s/s sink, shower, toilet and teak grate. The interior finish and cleanliness must be seen and compares favorably with many newer yachts. This vessel is above average compared to other yachts of her size and age.

Manufacturer Provided Description

The Irwin 38 MK II is the ultimate blend of bluewater performance and spacious accommodations. Belowdecks, there are two comfortable staterooms with private heads, a sophisticated navigation station with an upholstered swing-out seat, and a well-appointed galley that would delight a gourmet chef. The spacious main salon has a liquor locker, two large settees, a custom teak dining table, and more. The master stateroom features a queen-sized berth, a generous hanging locker, a vanity with mirror, reading lights, a storage bin, and an upholstered swing-out swivel stool. The tasteful use of richly varnished teak combined with coordinated mica colors provides a feeling of warmth and spaciousness. Add the high-performance winged keel to a well-thought-out deck layout, and the result is a center cockpit sloop that is easily handled and sails like the race-bred winners she evolved from.
