Broker’s Overview

This has to be the nicest 50 Bertram on the market. Experienced owners make the family owned and used boat the one to buy.

We sold this boat to her current owners in 2003 and she was near perfect then. Since taking ownership they have not only repowered with moder electronic diesels but updated every system to new boat standards…This Boat Needs Nothing.

“Turn Key” reliability, speed (cruise at 26 to in low 30’s) and economical. Owner states that on her North south run they saved over 1,000 gallons of fuel over the original 8V92’s/

Salon:

Completely redone and updated. New carpeting, settee upholstery,lamberkins, blinds and a custom table with storage. Ice maker and drink storage starboard aft

Galley;

Th e under counter freezer and two draw refrigerator  leave the area open. Loads of counter and working space. recessed cook top, SS Sink and microwave. Loads of cabinet storage. New Teak & Holly sole in the galley, dinette and companionway.

Dinette:

The forward L-Shaped dinette has room for the whole crowd. Flat Screen TV with Satellite and stereo system on the forward built head. Digital climate controls and central vacuum system.

Companionway:

Finished in Teak and Holly, the companionway provides access to the three staterooms  and the laundry center. A stacked washer and separate dryer.

Staterooms:

The Guest is to port. Twin berths, loads of storage and direct access to the  head. The guest/day head has a fully enclosed shower, electric head, vanity with sink.  This head can be accessed from the companionway.

The second guest is to starboard and has twin over and under berths, hanging locker and plenty of storage.

The master is forward with a centerline queen. Loads for storage and hanging locker space. The private en suite head had a stall shower, electric head, vanity and lots of storage.

The Cockpit:

Bertram knows how to design a cockpit and it is one of the largest in her class.Transom door for bringing in the big ones, cockpit combing , transom fish box, in deck storage, fold out boating steps. Tackle center with sink and rigging station, tackle drawers. Starboard above deck live well. Cockpit mounted engine electronic engine controls. removable cockpit fish box rigging station.

The Bridge;

Up the starboard side ladder to the huge bridge. Large console with forward wrap around seating., The huge console takes on a clean look with the removal of the old analog guages. New Volvo Electronic MFD’s tell all at a glance. Bertram systems monitor has been redesigned for a more functional and modern look.

Electronics;

Updated electronics on the bridge. Furuno 10″ MFD to poet for fishing finder and radar. NorthStar MFD for GPS and Plotting. Furuno Autopilot, Dytec water temp. Tridata.

Mechanical;

Repowered with Volvo D-12-800’s complete with gears. Only 800 hours since new. Modern electronic diesel common rail performance means fast and economical. No smoke clean running diesels that won’t smoke out the cockpit crew or soot up the transom.

Duel Racor filters. The logger weight aid in the increased performance and lower fuel burn. The smaller foot print make engine room access a breeze.

Spotless engine room shows great.

Recent generator over haul. The generator has been relocated to the engine room. This not only protects it from rust and corrosion ( a big problem with the duel cockpit mounted original set up) but with the sound shield and engine room sound insulation , Quite is the word.Dockside 240V power with a Glendenning Cable Master

We have seen and sold many “Classic Bertram’s” and this is truly “One of a Kind’

All work professionally done. Experienced owners learned what to do when they repowered their previous 42 Bertram with a pair of 680 MAN’s.

The only thing lacking in the 50 Bertram was the economy , engine reliability and performance due to the old Two Stroke Detroit’s. Problem solved and as close to perfection as one could get.
