The Silverton 40 aft cabin is built on a solid fiberglass, modified V hull with relatively high freeboard, considerable bow flare, and a modest 14 degrees of deadrise at the transom. She is a capable and handsome yacht that proved to be a very popular and sea-worthy vessel. Her 454 cid Crusader gas engines let her cruise at about 17 knots and top out at 25 knots. She also has a bow pulpit with windlass, canvas over the bridge, a large swim platform with Weaver dinghy davits for the inflatable dinghy..
Below, she is a two stateroom layout with galley and dinette down and plenty of daylight in the large ssloon from the large forward and side windows. Spacious vee berth and head forward and walk-around double and second head with shower aft. Plenty of seating on the aft deck and at the flybridge.
